Welsh warband finished!

Bang a gong, I'm done!  With the arrival of the LBMS shield transfers, I finally wrapped up this project. Here's a final post up of the crew. Everybody say "Javelins!"

I'd been eyeing the Welsh for my next warband when my friend Hugh asked if I'd paint his on commission.    With unpaid work days coming down the pike, I'm looking to take on a few commissions.  Instead of moping around the house on my unpaid days, I'll do what I love most and paint!

      lol! Not to worry, I have my Naked Gaul army under way and a Dailami army in 15mm in the mix. I was starting to noodle around with the Dailami arabic shields and I determined I'm going to have to find a way to do script without a paintbrush. Even with my tiniest brush, I don't like the results. Maybe a paintpen? I don't know. I'll go to the craft store and see.

      How about Sci-fi or Blood Bowl or WW II or Dystopian? I have not yet begun to paint (outside of historicals!)

    Really sweet, Monty. I'm hope I'll see a lot of these guys in the future. Wish I could afford to have you paint up some Strathclyde lads. Might have to paint them myself ;^)

      Thanks Brent! I need to study the Strathclyde list and figure that out. The thought of having an armor of 2 is scary, but there must be something there.

    Great stuff. Like the banner bearer and the hearthguard in particular. Those transfers really make the figures pop!

    very nice figs monty! what's about one of the new fractions of the new supplement? pagan rus or rus princes. both could be a very colorful list and interesting to play!

      John, thanks for your feedback! This did come together very well. I'd love to know who the sculptor was for these GB figures. They were really a treat to paint!
